Facebook, blogging, and Twitter: social media is growing by leaps and bounds – there are over 150 million active Facebook users in the U.S., and Twitter may not have as many users, but could be where you find a blogger to blog about your product or service. The single most important thing to keep in mind when you think you may be ready to establish or extend your social media presence is to map out a social media strategy that defines your objectives, and includes a way to measure success. You wouldn’t keep spending on advertising if it didn’t provide good return on your investment, so why would your social media efforts be any different? WackyPuppy can help you develop a social media strategy customized to your needs and resources, and can implement your plan, such as creating a custom Facebook fan page for your product, campaign or organization, set up your blog, and teach you how to use Twitter most effectively. We also have writers who can help you with your day-to-day posts.

In 2010, LifeChronicles participated in the Pepsi Refresh campaign, in an effort to win a $250K grant from Pepsi to fund LifeSpace, an interactive video website that will provide local schools and youth groups with the training and equipment they need to record and edit the stories of people within their community, with the goal of extending LifeChronicle’s services to all who would like them. WackyPuppy designed and executed the social media campaign, leveraging email, a Facebook Fan page and a new home page for the duration of the campaign, to drive participation and daily voting. While LifeChronicles didn’t win this highly competitive competition, we did rank in the top 17% of projects, made new friends, increased donations and added new donors, as well as increased engagement across their website and Facebook.
